Subtle hints of pencil shavings accent raspberries and cherries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is wonderfully, supple, lush and long.”

James Suckling: „This powerful and full-bodied Chateauneuf has enormous black olive character plus notes of tar and leather. Huge tannins, but there's nothing extreme about them, and the cocoa character at the imposing finish is quite restrained. A cuvee of 70% mourvedre, 20% greanche and 10% syrah from biodynamically grown grapes. Exceptionally for this producer, the wine is matured in demi muids and foudre wooden casks. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

Jeb Dunnuck: „With a modern tinge to its spicy red and black fruits, smoked meats, graphite, and peppery nuances, the Mourvèdre-dominated 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Part Des Anges is medium to full-bodied, has a silky, elegant mouthfeel, fine yet building tannins, and a great finish. The blend is 70% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache, and 10% Syrah raised in foudre and demi-muid. It will have 10-15 years of longevity.”
