Robert Parker: „With grapes from the Langenberg, 90% of this wine macerated for 24 hours and was vinified in 1,200-liter oval vats for 11 months and on the fine lees for another 11 months, while the remaining 10% fermented on the mash and aged in stainless steel and oak vats. The 2022 Schloss Johannisberg Silberlack Riesling Trocken GG is clear, intense and refined yet also spicy, with fine and substantial mineral smokiness. This is a full-bodied, round, intense and juicy, very elegant and savory Riesling with young and still gently biting tannins yet also body, extract and aging capacity. With all its concentration, grip and saline complexity, this wine should be aged for at least another 5 years on the bottle. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024.”
